Large Serving Spoon statement necklace

I couldn’t resist this large David Andersen serving spoon in his famous ‘Ringebu’ pattern which I always think is rather Celtic looking. I have only ever had coffee spoons and the occasional small fork in this pattern before. Anderson was a famous Norwegian silversmith and this piece is 830 Norwegian silver. I flattened the centre of the spoon bowl slightly so that the spoon handle would sit flat along it and I also satinised the bowl to draw the eye too the intricate pattern on the spoon handle. The spoon pendant hangs 3.5 inches from a 17 inch sterling silver neck wire. The pendant looks heavier than its 44 grams and is very much a statement piece of jewellery. Follow Coco Chanel’s advice and wear this piece without any additional jewellery.
