Icy voyage

The pictures I create are intended to look as if they are paintings, hence I describe them as ‘painted in wool.’
I use wool and silk fibres which are applied to a wool felt backing by a special barbed needle. This technique is known as ‘ needle-felt’.

Most pieces are sold in a signed mount with a backing board which is suitable for placing in a standard frame available from stores like The Range. Alternatively they may be professionally framed.

if you prefer, pictures may be unmourned and posted to you in a postal tube. This is the only method of posting available for sales outside the UK and Ireland.
I enjoy creating pictures of boats with their reflections in the water. In this study, I tried to creat the feeling of the icy environment of thr Artic and an old wooden boat making its way through the chilly waters. I think the picture also has a peaceful vibe.
